Dominic Poleon celebrated his 30th birthday by taking his Vanarama National League form into only his second international showing, grabbing a hat-trick for Saint Lucia against Sint Maarten.
Poleon, who has seven goals in six games this season in the league, has now scored three in two appearances for the Piton Boyz. Wearing his favoured No.14 shirt last night, Poleon completed his hat-trick in the 89th minute to add to two earlier goals either side of half-time. And not content with that, he also provided an assist for Ridel Stanislas’ fourth for Saint Lucia.
That puts Saint Lucia top of their CONCACAF Nations League group with a second game to come at home to Saint Kitts & Nevis in the early hours of Monday – live coverage of that is available on YouTube at midnight.
Poleon played alongside Lincoln City’s Reeco Hackett-Fairchild and Charlton’s Terell Thomas for the island nation coached by former Nottingham Forest, Birmingham City and Coventry City striker Stern John.
