Operation Oyster: wear white to Whitstable!

The Club and the Fleet Trust have joined forces to take as many Ebbsfleet United supporters as possible to the FA Trophy match against Whitstable on Saturday 14 December under the banner of ‘Operation Oyster’. The aim is to try and take a minimum of 300 supporters to the match all decked out in something white.

As parking is difficult in and around Whitstable Town’s Belmont stadium, coach fares have been reduced from the normal £10 to just £5. One coach will be leaving the Stonebridge Road ground at 11.00am and supporters on that coach will go for lunch in the town and/or take the time to do a bit of shopping. The remaining coaches will leave at 1.00pm, also from Stonebridge Road. Those wishing to book coach travel should call the club on 01474 543331, via the Fleet Trust window at the ground or by emailing [email protected].

As Whitstable play in red supporters are being urged to wear something white to match the team kit on the day. Vice chairman Peter Varney said, “We want our supporters to give the team the type of backing we have had all season but in larger numbers and to inspire the team to victory.

“I would urge as many of our supporters as possible to come along to the match wearing something white (those caught without anything white will be subject to an on-the-spot fine!) and if at all possible the white MiddletonMurray away shirt which between now and the match will be discounted to £25 for adults and £20 for juniors for all purchases up to and including 13 December.

“A free Santa Hat worth £3 will be given to everyone purchasing a shirt. The shirt will return to its normal retail price on Monday 16 December.”
