Hampton scored a late winner after the Fleet had fought back from two goals down to take the three points at The Beveree. Jake Hessenthaler and Ben Chapman had got their side back into it but as the Fleet were pushing for a winner, it was the hosts who managed to get their noses back in front.
After both sides made a steady start trying to find gaps, it was Hampton who found themselves in front from a free kick. It came on 12 minutes after Toby Edser slid into a tackle on the edge of the box and Alfie Tuck stepped up to fire the ball into the bottom left corner.
The Fleet’s closest opportunity came from a corner delivery by Charlie Seaman that Tom Dallison rose to and Josh Coley sent an effort wide.
Hampton doubled their advantage six minutes later when a break from the right got David Rodari into a shooting position and he made no mistake once the target was in view.
Fleet replied within two minutes. Seaman’s throw-in went long and in a crowded box, Edser supplied Hessenthaler who volleyed his effort into the net.
Edser finished off some neat buid-up play with a shot from the edge of the box that flew wide of the far post and the Fleet finished the half with plenty of pressure on the Hampton goal. Coley won a free-kick for the visitors in a dangerous area and Edser delivered the ball to pick out George Moncur whose shot was blocked in the six-yard box for a corner. Several Fleet players then tried to get a foot on the ball as it pinged around the Hampton penalty area but the hosts survived with some last-ditch tackles.

Going up the slope in the second-half, the Fleet enjoyed most of the possession and Dallison sent a header close past the post.
A strange equaliser arrived for the Fleet on 67 minutes when Ben Chapman cut in and from a tight angle looped a ball towards the target. Goalkeeper James Holden attempted to palm it from the underside of his bar but made a hash of it and it slipped from his gloves to drop over the line.

A few minutes later, a Dominic Samuel shot was dealt with a little better by Holden who held on to that one while Mustapha Olagunju was on the front foot getting forward as his side earned a number of set pieces.
Ten minutes from the end, the game went in favour of the hosts -substitute Craig Fansanmade latched on to a ball out wide and fired home the winner.
The Fleet were convinced they had another equaliser in time added on when Dallison knocked the ball down and Samuel fired home from a similar position to his goal last Monday but as he turned to celebrate, the referee indicated he had disallowed it for a handball in the build-up.
