The Fleet’s penultimate National League away trip of the season to FC Halifax Town has been switched from The Shay to Accrington Stanley’s 5,450-capacity Wham Stadium, taking place as currently scheduled on Tuesday, April 16th at 7.45pm.
It follows recent postponements at Halifax, the latest of which saw their midweek game against Oldham Athletic called off. The Shaymen still have to complete that home game, their meeting with the Fleet and in between a league fixture against Barnet on Saturday which will also now be played at Accrington.
The League Two club is located 27 miles west of Halifax and Fleet fans have been there before in Conference visits in 2004 and 2005. Supporters can pay on the gate and we will also confirm stand arrangements and issue a ground guide on Thursday.
The Fleet Supporters Trust are running a coach to the game, with previous travellers to the original Halifax fixture going free courtesy of the club’s funding of the transport. Anyone else wishing to go can do so for a reduced charge of £15. For more details, visit the Trust website here.
