Haigh helps Hoops in emergency loan

Fleet goalkeeper Chris Haigh has joined Oxford City on loan until the end of the season after the National League approved the Marsh Lane club’s request for an emergency goalkeeper signing.

Oxford, third in the league and chasing a play-off berth, came to the Kuflink Stadium on Good Friday with goalkeeper Adnan Kanuric in their ranks but he has since been recalled by Nottingham Forest, leaving them short of options in the No.1 position.

Haigh, who played in the Kent Senior Cup for the Fleet this season after sustaining a serious injury at Eastbourne at the beginning of the season, goes into the squad for the Hoops this afternoon as they visit Dover Athletic. We wish him all the very best at Oxford City in his loan spell.
