Preview
Former Fleet players Jay Saunders and Sean Shields arrive with the Angels who are looking to lift their first Kent Senior Cup in 50 years – but getting past the semi-final is their first challenge. Manager Saunders and current skipper Shields have helped Tonbridge to a mid-table position this season in National South but the play-offs appear out of reach for the Longmead club, leaving the Kent Senior Cup as their final chance of silverware in 2024/25.

The club recently announced that Saunders will step down from his position at the end of the season so he will see a successful Kent Senior Cup campaign as a perfect way to end his spell.
The Fleet are looking for a first county cup since 2014 although reached the final last season. That was rather a damp squib as it was played 24 hours after a vital league game at Halifax and meant the team that took to the field in the final wasn’t anywhere near full strength. So the Fleet, fresh from a win at the weekend, will be determined to do the final justice this season if they can beat Tonbridge this midweek.
Tonbridge lost at Bath on Saturday and defender Ethan Sutcliffe was red-carded late on in that one. The visitors have released a couple of players in recent weeks including Crossley Lema, Ryan Hanson, Joe Tyrie and Trevan Robinson while Jeremy Santos is out on loan, which leaves them with a relatively small squad heading into the final weeks of the season.
Top scorer is Liam Vincent with nine and they also have a pair of Wycombe loanees to call on – midfielder Christie Ward and forward Brody Peart – plus Southend’s Jack Wood.
So far in the competition, Angels have beaten Herne Bay and Beckenham Town.
