Football still to come at the Kuflink…

The cheers of your champions may have abated slightly with our final home game of the season v Hungerford Town last Saturday, but that’s not quite the end of the action at the Kuflink Stadium with three games hosted in the coming days.

On Wednesday night (May 3rd) grassroots YouTube and TikTok sensations Under The Radar FC take on SE Dons in the Sunday Football League London top-of-the-table clash. Kick-off for that one is 7.30pm and entry is completely free.

Under The Radar Sunday League games attract thousands of views on YouTube and TikTok

On Friday evening (May 5th) it’s the turn of Stone Lodge and Hurtsmere schools to tread the turf at the Kuflink Stadium as the final of the North Kent Cup (Year 9) takes place. The bar and kiosk are open from 4pm for a 5pm kick-off so if you’d like to catch a live match as well as enjoy a pint or two and some food, head down for some excellent junior football action.

And you don’t get too many North Kent derbies in May but this Sunday the Fleet Women’s team could take another big stride towards the London & South East Regional League title and promotion as they host Dartford. Kick-off is 2pm and entry is £5 (discounted for season-ticket holders).

It’s Sam MacNeil’s side’s penultimate match but final home game of the season and they lead rivals Worthing by seven points, though the Rebels have three games in hand. The Fleet have a much superior goal difference, however, and a win this Sunday would put the pressure back on Worthing to win all their remaining games through to the end of May.

Having cheered the Fleet to one league title, the women’s team would be hugely encouraged to see another big crowd at the Kuflink Stadium as the club bids for a second championship in 2022/23.
