Ebbsfleet United manager Steve Brown has scooped a Skrill monthly gong following his side’s fantastic run during November, while striker Michael Thalassitis won player of the month.
The Fleet boss won the manager of the month award for Skrill South following a run of results that included three league wins, two FA Trophy triumphs and a Kent Senior Cup victory, scoring 17 goals and conceding just three. The three Skrill South wins saw the Fleet move into the play-off spots and then earn third place, their highest position this season.
Thalassitis scored four goals during the month, which came after his recall to the starting line-up against Concord on November 2.
Vice chairman Peter Varney told FleetOnline, “This award is richly deserved. The team won all six matches in November and played some outstanding football along the way. Steve has worked incredibly hard with his backroom staff to develop the players individually and collectively. Everyone connected with the football club is delighted at the way things are progressing and we offer our congratulations to Steve on being recognised in this way.”
Fleet continue their Skrill South campaign with a home match against Whitehawk this coming Saturday.
