Ben Chapman and Toby Edser gained England C caps this Bank Holiday Monday as both players started the friendly international v Nepal at Aldershot Town’s EBB Stadium.
Barnet pair Nicke Kabamba and Callum Stead fired two early goals for Paul Fairclough’s England before No.8 Edser might have added a third when his excellent shot was tipped over the bar on his former home ground – and a venue he scored at earlier this season.
A crowd of 5,560, many of those from among Aldershot’s Nepalese community, watched the game as Edser earned 90 minutes while Chapman – wearing the No.2 shirt – played the first hour. Former Fleet trio Nathan Ashmore, Jack Payne and Johnny Goddard also featured.
