Fleet home again after cup draw

Ebbsfleet United have drawn another Conference South side at home in the Third Qualifying Round – just as we did last season.

This time around, Basingstoke Town will be the visitors – on Saturday, October 11. The Hampshire side already have some encouragement for the tie, having won an earlier league fixture this season at the Soccer AM Stadium.

After 23 league games between the clubs since 1972, this will be the first cup tie contested between the Fleet and Basingstoke, who number ex-Ebbsfleet players Liam Enver-Marum (pictured) and Louie Soares in their squad.

Basingstoke are two places and two points ahead of the Fleet in the Vanarama Conference South, having won six games and lost three.

As part of the ongoing Fleet season-ticket offer, entry will be free to all season-ticket holders.
