Ebbsfleet United chairman Dr Abdulla Al-Humaidi and director Fenlon Dunphy have been named among the 40 most influential business leaders in the county by the Kent Messenger Group.
The KM placed Dr Abdulla sixth in its list, saying: “Having bought a football club on the brink of financial ruin, the Kuwaiti investment mogul has put the books back in order, taken it to the brink of promotion to the Conference and last month unveiled proposals for a £3.5 million stadium revamp. He is also the financial backer of plans to build a £2 billion Paramount-themed entertainment resort on the Swanscombe Peninsula between Gravesend and Dartford, which could create 27,000 jobs.”
And of Fenlon Dunphy, the publishing group wrote, “The former chief executive of a listed Russian chemical firm has become the public face of the proposals for the London Paramount Entertainment Resort. He has been the man listening to people’s concerns about traffic during the public consultations and is a good person for businesses to approach when looking for lucrative contracts helping to build the site.”
The list is made up of business leaders in fields including education, energy, food and drink, manufacturing, media, property, tourism and transport.
The Power List was put together by an independent panel of judges.
