Ebbsfleet United will host Salisbury or Slough Town in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup following this afternoon’s draw live on talkSport 2.
Slough will entertain Salisbury in a replay this week after the two clubs battled out a 0-0 draw on Saturday to decide who comes to the Kuflink Stadium on October 14th.
The Fleet, of course, faced Slough in the National League South last season and have faced the Rebels in cup competition before, in the Full Members Cup in 2000 and the FA Trophy in 2005… but never before in the FA Cup.
We have played Salisbury’s predecessor club (Salisbury City) 30 times previously, but never once in a cup competition of any kind.
Should Salisbury win the replay, it would be an instant return for defender Sido Jombati as well as Theo Lewis also plays for the Whites. Meanwhile Slough have ex-Fleet midfielder Johnny Goddard in their ranks.
To reach this stage, Slough – who are 19th in National League South – have beaten Hayes & Yeading United, while Salisbury – who sit fourth in the Southern League Premier South – have seen off Bridgwater United and Mousehole.
In related news, the Fleet Women’s side also earned a home draw in their FA Cup competition, to face Oxford City who play at the same tier, albeit in a different regional division.
