Starkey makes Angels move permanent

Fleet defender Phil Starkey departs Stonebridge Road…

Ebbsfleet United defender Phil Starkey has today made his loan move to Tonbridge Angels permanent after impressing during his time at Longmead. The Fleet have received a small fee and will net 30% of any sell-on fee. The Gravesend-born full back signed in the close season after being released by Crystal Palace but has found his first-team opportunities limited since his only two appearances back in August. All at the Fleet wish Phil all the best for the future.

In other news, midfielder Dan Stubbs – who appeared as a late substitute in the midweek game against Dartford – has moved to Wivenhoe Town of the Ryman League Division One North on a month’s loan.
