James Smith faces six weeks out as he succumbs to a hernia problem, but Warren Goodhind is back.
Ebbsfleet United central defender James Smith (left) is set to have a double hernia operation later this week.
The club has been aware of the player’s hernia problem for the past few weeks but
James took the decision to play through pain for as long as he could.
He will be travelling to Leicester to have keyhole surgery performed by the leading surgeon in this field. This is likely to keep
him out for around six weeks.
Better news is that Warren Goodhind has recovered from his hip injury and is available for selection against Histon on Tuesday. Sacha Opinel’s calf injury is also improving and he is expected back in full training later this week.
