Fleet’s goalless draw in their FA Trophy quarter-final means a replay will decide who advances to the semis…
BURTON ALBION 0-0 EBBSFLEET UNITED
The Fleet remain undefeated in three matches against Burton this season following their FA Trophy quater-final at the Pirelli Stadium this afternoon, but they will need to at least protect that record on Tuesday night to progress to a first-ever semi-final. The home side had much the better spells of this game with the Fleet at times riding their luck, but a strong defensive performance again paid dividends with Peter Hawkins back from his groin injury to fill in on the right of defence.
Tuesday night’s replay recalls the Fleet’s last attempts to make a semi-final at Stonebridge Road when they lost 3-2 at home to Bishop’s Stortford in the 2005 quarter-final.
