EBBSFLEET UNITED CHAIRMAN JOHN MOULES IS IMPRESSED BY HIS MANAGER’S FOCUS…
New Fleet chairman John Moules has today praised Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish for his focus during the recent press attention over the vacant managerial position at Cambridge United. Daish, and assistant Alan Kimble – both former Cambridge players ? were subject to intense press speculation about the position but following Daish’s confirmation that he had not spoken to the Conference runners-up, former Southport boss Gary Brabin has instead been appointed at the Abbey Stadium.
Moules said, “I am delighted Liam Daish has not been head hunted to Cambridge United as the press continually speculated on the possibility. To his credit Liam has remained focused over the past couple of weeks on Ebbsfleet’s preparations for the new season and is continuing his squad building and recent signings demonstrate the focus Liam has as the players are due to commence pre-season training next week.
“[CEO] David Davis and I met Liam last week and l was impressed with his commitment to the club and the players, giving David and I several projects to look at off-the-field to ensure the players and team management are fully prepared for the season ahead ? tasks we both see as positive steps.
“With the way clear to focus on the new season, and David commencing his full-time role at the club in a couple of weeks, it will be all systems go for the new season.”
