Trialist midfielder Alfie Egan has today made his stay at the Kuflink Stadium permanent.
The 21-year-old Londoner left AFC Wimbledon this summer after coming through the club’s youth ranks and he has featured in five pre-season friendlies for the Fleet.
Egan, who has appeared 28 times for the Dons and also represented Sutton United, East Thurrock United and Kingstonian on loan, has impressed Garry Hill sufficiently to land a place in this coming season’s squad.
Deployed mainly in midfield this summer, his versatility was on show in our final friendly v Brighton when he operated at right-back.
Egan made his league debut for AFC Wimbledon in 2016 and becomes the 10th new signing for the Fleet.
