Double swoop for Fleet

With just two days to go before the start of the new season, Steve Brown has swooped to sign wide man Chris Sessegnon and striker Alex Osborn, both 20. Sessegnon is a free agent and Osborn joins on loan from Dagenham and Redbridge FC.

Manager Brown said, “I am delighted to have signed two young players who are athletic, willing to learn and hungry to have successful careers. They will go straight into the squad for this Saturday’s match at home to Havant and Waterlooville.”

Brown confirmed that he is still looking to add two more players to his first team squad and has not ruled out more new signings before the weekend.

Chris Sessegnon can play either full-back or on the wing. He broke into first-team football via Sutton United’s youth team, progressing to Conference South football during 2011/12. Loan spells at Kingstonian and Tooting followed before Chris was snapped up by Dover in the summer of 2012.

Alex Osborn, who played for the Fleet in the Thamesmead pre-season game, has just signed a new contract at Dagenham until 2014, but nevertheless moves to Stonebridge Road on loan. He joined the Daggers from Grays in 2010 and has also played for Thurrock and Chelmsford on loan.
