Day 9: step by step

The stand demolition is almost complete at Stonebridge Road as TSP made short work of the western end of the Liam Daish Stand structure throughout Wednesday.

With the overhead sign removed, the remainder of the supports followed fairly quickly this afternoon while the earthmover/excavating vehicle moved in to clear much of the terracing steps up to the Halfway Line, leaving just the TV gantry to tackle before the other half of the stand is no more later this week.

On the pitch, we had three tractors digging channels deep into the surface ready to accept the drainage and watering systems.

We have added 18 more pictures to the stadium photo gallery, accessible via the link at the top of this page. Photos by Dean Pooley and Craig Freeman.
