The Fleet can today confirm that Greg Cundle has extended his stay at the Kuflink Stadium for the 2024/25 Vanarama National League campaign.
Cundle is one of only three remaining players who joined at the start of the 2020/21 campaign (Ben Chapman and Rakish Bingham the others) and will now feature for a fifth season in Fleet colours.
In all, the 27-year-old has appeared 94 times for the club following his arrival during lockdown as a trialist. His goals and assists helped fire the Fleet back into the National League during the club’s title-winning campaign and last season his memorable opener at Oldham Athletic set the Fleet up for a famous victory.
Prior to his arrival at the Kuflink Stadium, Cundle spent a number of seasons with Gillingham and since had time at Kingstonian, East Grinstead, Concord Rangers and Horsham.
But it’s at the Kuflink Stadium where Cundle has put down roots. “The club is a big part of my life, having been here for five seasons, coming here every day, it’s become a big deal for me,” Cundle explained to FleetTV . “There’s only a handful of us left that have been here for this long and I know the club, the people and the fans, so you do take on the role of being an experienced player.”
