Community dates for your diaries

A great start to our home fixtures against Maidstone United on Tuesday night will hopefully ensure everyone has this season’s home games firmly fixed in their diaries. Let’s hope today’s game against AFC Fylde delivers another superb performance.

I know that EUFC fans are committed to making Stonebridge Road a cauldron of noise and support for the Fleet, but hopefully you can find time in your diaries to support some important local events being organised by some of our Community Partners.

Enjoy a great family day out this Sunday, 13th August, at Northfleet Big Local’s annual celebration on Northfleet Hill, with live music, a BBQ in the No Walls Secret Garden, community market and loads of fun and games with a bouncy castle, football and coconut shy! Also there are awards for our brilliant community volunteers.

Our friends at The Gr@nd are organising their Gifted Young Gravesham event again this year, with the event open to young people aged between 12 and 19. Young Fleet fans who want to exercise their vocal chords to a broader audience should save the date of 21st October.

As part of a year-long programme marking the 70th anniversary of Indian independence and the cultural relationship with the UK, Kinetika have created Silk River, an ambitious project which explores the unique relationship between London and Kolkata through artistic exchange between communities along the Thames Estuary and India’s Hooghly River. The Silk River project comes to Gravesend on 21st September and EUFC has agreed to be the starting point for the 6.2-mile walk along the River Thames.
