Club thanks fans for Boxing Day donations

Ebbsfleet United director Jessica McQueen has praised supporters for their response to recent news of budget shortfalls. Bucket collections and other donations raised £2,060.87 while sign-ups to the Best Loosers competition also boosted the Fleet push towards the winning line of that competition on January 5.

She commented, “I cannot thank everyone enough for the amazing effort that many of you took part in on Boxing Day.

“I understand there will always be those who want to put a negative spin on things but thankfully they are in the minority.

“We have all made a great start and I have people talking to me about fundraising activities already. We all need to continue with this initiative and I can assure you the football club are constantly looking at ways of saving money where they can.

“All donations are welcome, no matter how small they may seem to you.

“The football club is part of who we are, it is something many people grew up with and hopefully our younger supporters will in time feel the same.

“From us all at Ebbsfleet United Football Club, thank you and keep it up.”
