Ebbsfleet United FC has offered its thanks to our Back of Shirt and Community Sponsors MiddletonMurray for their support over the past three years as our sponsorship agreement comes to a formal end.
Fleet vice chairman Peter Varney considered MiddletonMurray’s role over the past three years at the club to be vital as owner KEH Sports established itself at Stonebridge Road and within the community. “KEH took over the club in 2013 and since our arrival MiddletonMurray and their CEO Angela Middleton have been a leading sponsor and supporter of the club,” Varney said. “That support has been pivotal to growing the wider commercial infrastructure of Ebbsfleet United and we wish them well in the future as they continue to expand their business. We look forward to seeing our friends from MiddletonMurray at future matches at Stonebridge Road.”
Steve Sutherland, MiddletonMurray’s Head of Marketing and PR said, “We have been sponsors in one form or another for the last three years and whilst we have thoroughly enjoyed our relationship and are proud of the role we have played in supporting the new owners since their first season in helping to establish Ebbsfleet United FC as a vibrant football club at the heart of its local community, we feel that the time is now right for us to explore other avenues in terms of our formal sponsorship strategy”.
Despite the conclusion of our sponsorship agreement, the excellent relationship with MiddletonMurray that has been developed with the club is very much set to continue. Steve added, “We greatly value the relationships the company have developed with the club, its board of directors, players, management, clients and supporters and we certainly don’t see this as a complete end to our relationship with Ebbsfleet United and indeed we are in dialogue over a potentially exciting link in the near future.”
Angela Middleton reiterated the company’s intention to stay involved with the club. “It’s been an absolute pleasure watching Ebbsfleet United develop and go from strength to strength. Where did those three years go?! We have enjoyed a marvellous range of benefits such as hospitality, advertising, networking and made some great business contacts too. I’m absolutely convinced that there’s a very exciting future ahead for Ebbsfleet United and I believe strongly that it’s very important that we retain our business relationship and our links with the club. I’m particularly delighted to announce that Peter Varney will be continuing his invaluable role as a judge of our Apprentice of the Month Awards as he has played such a big part in the success of this scheme.”
Angela concluded by saying, “The Club’s innovative plans for the stadium development, with the work having already started on their new stand, highlights perfectly its ambition and we wish everyone at Ebbsfleet United the very best of luck for the future.”
