The Fleet secured their biggest win of the League campaign with an emphatic 4-1 victory away to Chippenham Town.
An early chance came inside the opening five minutes as Dominic Samuel linked up nicely with Ben Chapman and appeals for a penalty after a potential handball were dismissed by the referee. Goalkeeper Will Henry then gathered minutes later as Charlie Seaman drilled a shot wide of the mark.
Josh Passley was called into defensive action when he timed a challenge to perfection to deny a shot from Sol Wanjau-Smith. And the closest chance of the half was also for the hosts when Noah Phillips delivered a cross towards the back post which Anointed Chukwu headed back across to Callum Wood. His effort from yards out clipped the bar from close range.
Toby Edser came agonisingly close just past the half-hour mark when his volleyed effort couldn’t be kept on target. But the opener did arrive moments before half-time following successive corners, the second sent over for Ben Coker to whip back into the area. It made the far post where an arriving Mustapha Olagunju headed home.
And the Fleet were not done there as Samuel picked up possession from a Chapman forward pass at the very next attack and found himself one on one with Henry, neatly slotting the ball home to double the Fleet’s lead going into the break.

That two-goal advantage soon grew after the break. Two minutes into the restart saw Passley deliver a superb long ball into the path of Samuel who made no mistake with an excellent effort 25 yards out to make it 3-0.
A chance to make it four came when Seaman won possession inside the Chippenham box but a well-time block only earned a corner while a superb save from Henry denied Chapman.

Play settled which meant it was a comfortable afternoon for the Fleet. Josh Wright made his full allocations of substitutions and Aaron Cosgrave’s tidy run into the area allowed him to get a shot away that went just wide.
A fourth did arrive and it was Kwesi Appiah on the scoresheet after Maxx Manktelow’s run and shot was palmed away by Henry. Following up though was the Fleet’s No.10 arrived who confidently hit home an accurate low shot inside the post.
The clean sheet was denied only late on as a consolation goal from Olaf Kozsela got the Bluebirds on to the scoresheet but this was an excellent start to the 2026 league campaign.
