Steve Brown has expressed delight at landing Dominic Green after the 24-year-old midfielder agreed terms with the Fleet on the eve of the season opener against Havant & Waterlooville. And the pacy, left-sided wide man, who becomes the 19th player signed this summer, goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game.
East Londoner Green began his career with one of his local clubs, Dagenham & Redbridge, breaking into the League Two setup in 2007. He impressed enough for Peterborough to fight off other clubs and part with a small fee the following year to elevate him to League One football and he went on to play more than 30 times for the Posh in a three-year stay.
He had loan spells at Thurrock, Chesterfield, Rushden and St Neots Town before being re-signed by the Daggers in 2011. A further 18 months followed at Victoria Road, before a loan move to Dartford in January 2013.
Green had no shortage of offers following his release by Dagenham this summer, but after a successful trial, he has opted for Stonebridge Road.
