Blazin’ squad! Fleet players report for duty

Reckoned to be one of the hottest days of the past decade, Fleet manager Daryl McMahon should have no problems getting his squad to shed any excess pounds as they reported back for pre-season duty at the club’s Cobdown training complex this morning.

With the mercury hitting the 36°C mark from early on, the Fleet players kept their cool to run through kit-launch photographs and the annual squad photocall before upping the pace with a few sprints and other running exercises.

Fleet photographers Paul Jarvis and Dave Plumb were on hand to capture the action (below) as the players sweltered but performed no less willingly despite the heat – ahead of jetting off to Portugal on Friday for their pre-season training camp. New signings John-Paul Kissock, Jordan Parkes, Robbie Willmott and Jonathan Miles were also present to meet their new teammates for the first time as the Fleet staff got to work in earnest for the forthcoming season.
