The Fleet have added attacking left-back Alex Lankshear to the squad from Blackpool on loan until the end of this season. 

The 22-year-old spent the opening half of the campaign on loan with Welling United where he became a regular feature, making 15 appearances and scoring once. Previously, Lankshear had a spell on loan in the National League with Dorking Wanderers.

The former Arsenal youth player broke into senior football with St Albans City in 2021/22 and caught the eye during their FA Cup run when they beat then League Two champions Forest Green Rovers to make it to Round Two. As a result of those displays and his form across 36 matches that season, Lankshear was signed by Blackpool for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.

He made his senior debut for Blackpool on the final day of the 2022/23 Championship season, with a further senior appearance coming in the EFL Trophy.
