Big thanks to Fleet fans from Gravesend MVS

At the Maidenhead game on Saturday 19th November the club welcomed the Gravesend Maritime Volunteer Service to Stonebridge Road to help raise money for the unit.

Michael Hegarty (Head of Unit) has written to Fleet club director Stuart Butler-Gallie thanking Fleet fans for their generous support in raising £420 (after Gift Aid) on the day. Although we might have not got the result we wanted on the pitch, the day was a great success for the Gravesend MVS.

As highlighted in the Fleet in the Community page in our Maidenhead matchday programme, Stuart and Kenny Clark have now fixed a date for Gravesend MVS to host an EUFC day for disabled young people who are Fleet fans or relatives of Fleet fans. This will take place at the Gravesend Sailing Club on Wednesday, 12th April 2017, during the Easter holidays.

Fleet fans and their disabled young relatives will have the opportunity to spend the day on the River Thames including a BBQ and a boat trip with some of their favourite Fleet players.

If you are interested in this opportunity or know of anyone who would be please contact the club at: [email protected] or call on: 01474 533796.
