Ashmore joins Wood for the season

Fleet goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore has agreed a season-long loan deal with fellow National League side Boreham Wood.

The 29-year-old began the campaign as Fleet’s first-choice goalkeeper but has seen Jordan Holmes establish himself as the favoured No.1, following Nathan’s 171 appearances and three-and-a-half years at the Kuflink Stadium.

Boreham Wood lost one of their two goalkeepers – Ryan Huddart – to Bromley yesterday and Nathan will join former Bromley No.1 David Gregory in Wood manager Luke Garrard’s goalkeeping ranks.

The club wishes Nathan well for the rest of this season at Meadow Park.
