Ebbsfleet United can confirm that Elijah Anthony will join Chatham Town on an initial 28-day loan. Having signed for the Fleet on a development deal with the intention of gaining loan experience early in the season, the former QPR U21 will now take on the challenge of a competitive Isthmian Premier division.

The 20-year-old featured on trial throughout Fleet’s pre-season campaign before making the move permanent at the beginning of August.

Chatham Town take on Billericay at the Bauvill Stadium this evening after defeat to Lewes on the opening day. The Isthmian runners-up of last season have experienced players in their ranks who will benefit Elijah’s development hugely over the coming weeks.
