Fleet’s Academy side played their first friendly this afternoon against Sussex Academy and won 5-1.

It was new coach Gerard Prenderville’s first taste of match action and the goals were scored by Andre Trenton (2), Harry Salter (2) and Jeff Nguede.

Fleet Academy’s league season starts at Tonbridge on Wednesday, 16th September, with the first home game – against Dartford – on 30th September. A full set of Academy fixtures will be published on the website in due course.

Fleet will play in Division ‘B’ of the Football Conference Youth Alliance, with Hastings United replacing Crystal Palace this season.
