It should come as no surprise to any regular Fleet fan this season that goalkeeper Preston Edwards cleaned up at tonight’s end-of-season player awards.
The England C stopper won supporters’ player of the year, players’ player of the year and the young player of the year awards after a season in which today’s was the first game he has missed.
However, it didn’t quite go all Preston’s way as the man who plays just in front of him, defender Craig Stone, won the managers’ player of the year award.
And in other prizes on offer, 50/50 stalwart Harry Houckham picked up a special award.
