Elder enjoys November reign

Fleet striker Nathan Elder has been named as the Blue Square Premier player of the month for November.

The former Brighton and Brentford frontman bagged five goals for the Fleet during the month, to take his combined league and cup total to 11 for the season – or 15 if you count his four-goal haul in the Kent Senior Cup.

Nathan’s form – rising to fourth in the division’s goalscoring charts – has coincided with an upsurge in the team’s fortunes as the Fleet climbed out of the relegation zone at the end of November. Elder’s monthly five-goal haul was one ahead of Grimsby’s Ross Hannah; the two will come face to face this Saturday at Stonebridge Road.

The manager of the month award went to Lincoln City’s David Holdsworth.
