The Fleet travelled to EFL League One outfit Wycombe Wanderers’ training ground this morning for a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly. A mix of first-team and academy players featured in the fixture.
An early goal for the hosts saw Luke Leahy play a long ball for Mekhi Savage, who then slotted a pass to academy product Micah Olabiyi, who netted from close range. The Fleet went for an instant response when Finlay Barnes fed a ball into the path of Aramide Oteh but the Wycombe keeper gathered before the No.9 could fire a shot off.
The lead soon doubled when Bradley Fink’s low ]range effort from the edge of the area ended up heading into the bottom right corner.
Will Buse pulled off a superb stop to deny the Chairboys a third whilst Oteh saw his strike blocked in the area.
A third did arrive for Wycombe, this time Jamie Mullins on the scoresheet after latching on to a ball by Finks.
The Fleet worked their corners but the EFL side dealt with those to keep their clean sheet intact. Harvey Walker proved a threat down the left flank whilst Ben Chapman’s effort from distance was narrowly wide of the mark in the closing stages of the first 45.

Fleet pressed early in the second half, building on those set-piec attacks, but Wycombe were able to clear the danger.
On the hour mark, the Fleet sides switched, giving the remaining players valuable minutes. Matt Hall launched a ball towards Daniel Ogunleye who looked in a prime position to shoot but he was caught offside.
Wycombe added a fourth with a long-range looping effort by Ewan Henderson clippeing the crossbar on its way in.
Jake Vokins played a dangerous ball into the area which looked to pick out Dom Samuel but a well-timed collection from the keeper stopped the attack. Again, Vokins played a tidy ball into the area, this time picking out Olly Box but the youngster was tackled.
