The old year ended every well and Fleet are looking to start the new one in the same way with our first fixture of 2026 seeing Josh Wright’s squad travel to Bath City. It’s the second of three successive away trips with Maidenhead to come in midweek.
Form guide
Nine points over the festive period saw the Fleet pick up wins against Chelmsford City, Tonbridge Angels and Dover Athletic with the play-off places now firmly in sight.
Bath are currently 17th in the National League South table with their most recent win coming against Salisbury just before Christmas. The Romans’ last five fixtures have ended with one win, two draws and two defeats.

Previously…
The reverse fixture at the Kuflink Stadium on the August Bank Holiday Monday saw the Fleet fall behind to a controversial Scott Wilson opener 11 minutes in. A late equaliser from Dominic Samuel saw the points shared. Wilson has since departed for Weston-super-Mare. In our last visit to Twerton Park, during our title-winning season, the Fleet came away with a 3-1 win, our third successive victory at Bath.

Who’s who
Harvey Wiles-Richards is a local goalkeeper who returned to Twerton Park in June 2024 following his release from Bristol City. He began his career with Bath’s U18s and made his first-team debut at just 16 years old. He went on to make a further eight senior appearances over the next two seasons, before four years at Ashton Gate. During his time with Bristol City, he also enjoyed loan spells with Gloucester City, Hereford United and, most recently, Weymouth.
Full-back Joe Raynes, 31, joined Bath in July 2018 and is another who previously featured for the club’s U18s before gaining senior experience with Odd Down, Larkhall Athletic and Frome Town, where he was Player of the Year. A regular at right-back and a firm fans’ favourite, he was named Managers’ Player of the Season for 2020/21.
