Preview: Weston-super-Mare

The Fleet travel to the west coast in a first visit to Weston-super-Mare since 2016 for this rescheduled league fixture from October 11th.

Form guide
The two sides go into this match on the back of a good run of form. Weston have suffered just one defeat in the last five league matches, the same as the Fleet.

A win away from home against AFC Totton 10 days ago gave the Fleet a confidence boost on their travels although Weston, sitting in second place in the league, have won all but one match on home soil.

The Seagulls regained their National South place last season after four campaigns in the Southern League and finished well, in eighth place, just missing out on a play-off place.

Head to head
The last time the Fleet visited Weston was back in October 2016 with the reds coming out victorious, Darren McQueen and Danny Kedwell on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win. Fleet’s best result there was a 6-0 win in 2013.

Who’s who
Louis Britton
is currently leading goalscorer with eight goals. He arrived at the Optima Stadium in March following his departure from Chorley. The 24-year-old striker has also played for the likes of Cork City, Bath City and Torquay United during his early career.

Luke Coulson is a familiar name to Fleet fans having played for the club for 16 months from 2017–19, a total of 73 games. The 31-year old went on to sign for Bromley before a move to Dartford ahead of the 2022/23 season. Coulson signed for the Seagulls during the summer of 2024 and has scored 21 goals in 61 appearances.
