Fleet renew Cryojuvenate relationship for player treatments

Ebbsfleet United has renewed our partnership with Cryojuvenate UK’s Sevenoaks-based clinic to aid in the rehabilitation and recovery of our playing squad.

A number of Fleet players – Ben Chapman, Tom Dallison, Elijah Anthony, Josh Passley and Finlay Barnes – have already attended the clinic for cryotherapy treatment as part of their recovery and return-to-fitness plans. The relationship between the club and Cryojuvenate was first established in 2017 and we are pleased that once again this season our players can take advantage of the treatments on offer.

Players have benefited from both Cryochamber sessions and local cryotherapy treatments. Founding Owner Ruth Hyde explained that the Cryochamber is “essentially like a big walk-in freezer at -85°C. A three-to-five-minute session sends the blood rushing around the body to protect the vital organs. Blood circulation targets all the areas that might be inflamed and if you’re reducing the inflammation, you’re reducing the pain and speeding up recovery. The magic really happens when you come out of the chamber, as the blood rushes all the way back through. If you have any inflammation or pain, it will certainly help to speed up the recovery. And if it’s a chronic pain it can help manage that pain.”

Local cryotherapy (centre picture, below) is another treatment which is focused cold therapy designed to relieve pain and aid recovery from injuries and post-operative rehabilitation. The treatment is completely non-invasive – no anaesthetic, no needles and no risk of scarring afterwards. It is commonly used for both acute and chronic soft tissue injuries, helping to reduce pain, inflammation and swelling.

“When I started Cryojuvenate, cryotherapy was almost unknown,” Ruth explained. “Over the years I’ve seen it grow from a niche curiosity into a cornerstone of recovery – for weekend warriors, community athletes and elite footballers alike. Watching players come in pre-match for preparation, then return post-match for recovery, seeing how a few minutes in the chamber and some localised cooling can turn around stiffness, inflammation, fatigue – it’s nothing short of inspiring. We’ve helped so many over the years, from footballers pushing through tight schedules to people simply striving to move without pain, feel better, sleep better. It’s been a privilege to be part of an industry – and a local clinic – that truly delivers when it comes to performance, healing and wellbeing.”
