Summer signing Max Ehmer has been named club captain ahead of the new season.

The former Gillingham skipper who wore the armband at Priestfield for many years brings 15 years of experience from the EFL to the Kuflink Stadium this season and has been skipper already for numerous pre-season friendlies.

Another player to have taken the armband in pre-season is Kwesi Appiah and he has been named club vice captain. The Boreham Wood top scorer returned to the Fleet after a 17-year absence this summer, having coming through the club’s youth system as a teenager.
