A former England youth international, the ex-defender played 300 times in the Football League through the 1980s and 1990s including the top tier, with his clubs including QPR, Swindon Town and Tottenham Hotspur. 

As assistant manager he has achieved promotion with Northampton Town and Nottingham Forest while also serving impressive spells at Watford, Cardiff City, Gillingham (where he worked with current Fleet boss Josh Wright), Lincoln City and most recently Blackpool in a long and successful career. 

He arrived at the Fleet in October 2024 as Harry Watling’s assistant manager and has continued in that role alongside Josh Wright.
