Ebbsfleet United welcome midfielder Jim Kellermann to the Kuflink Stadium ahead of the 2024/25 season following his departure from Woking.
The experienced 28-year-old is the first new signing announced this summer and will be a familiar face to many, having played against the Fleet for several clubs at National League level.
Having developed through Wolves’ academy, Kellermann went on to join Aldershot Town in 2016 for his first taste of National League football. He was with the Shots for two seasons, making the play-offs on both occasions and playing against the Fleet in the 2018 eliminator. He had a short spell with St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, twice appearing against Celtic. During the first half of that 2018/19 season, he was also loaned to eventual promotion finalists AFC Fylde.
The midfielder turned out briefly for hometown club Kidderminster Harriers, moving on to Chesterfield where he again made it to the play-offs before returning south to Woking in 2022. He spent the last two seasons with the Cards, achieving a first-ever play-off qualification in his first season and winning players’ player of the year. He went on to make 60 appearances and scored from the spot in the Fleet’s last visit to Kingfield in September 2023.
Speaking to FleetTV, the new signing said he aims to bring his considerable National League experience to bear at the Kuflink Stadium: “Your ambitions should always be as high as possible,” he said. “I know what it takes to reach play-offs, about those little moments in games and the tough periods in a season as well. It’s a really tough league this and I don’t think people give it enough credit. You’ve got to really dig in and that’s what I’ve learned from playing in this league and that’s something I hope I can bring to the club.”
Kellermann will join the Fleet from June 30th with the deal subject to the standard FA and League clearances.
