Once again, as 2023/24 draws to a conclusion, it is the Fleet’s intention to remember all of our former players in what has now become our traditional and hugely popular end-of-season reunion. This will take place at our last home game of the season v Altrincham on Saturday, April 13th.
First held at the end of 2021/22 and repeated last season to great jubilation off the back of our title success, former players and managers have been invited back to the club to meet old teammates and enjoy a half-time lap of honour greeted by the tremendous warmth of the Fleet home crowd.
All-time record goalscorer Steve Portway returned last season to present player of the year and our 21st-century record goalscorer Dominic Poleon with his trophy, while former boss Andy Ford and a number of players with whom he won the 2002 Isthmian League title were also present. We had players from every decade since the 1970s enjoying seeing old faces and taking the half-time walk around – and so we’re looking forward to doing it all again on April 13th.
The end-of-season meet-up goes hand-in-hand with our intention to always provide a welcoming environment for our old players and managers – and we have a policy of issuing complimentary tickets to them to see a Fleet league match at any time they so choose.
Any player or manager who would like to attend v Altrincham on Saturday, 13th April, please email [email protected] with your details and confirm if you would like to add complimentary tickets also for family and we’ll be delighted to host you.
The club continues to renew links with former players/managers so they and supporters are encouraged to share this with anybody they know who might have links with the club. We will email players whose details we have separately but ex-players are always welcome to get in contact with Ed Miller at the email address above to add their contacts to our database.
