Olagunju concludes Fleet loan stay

Mustapha Olagunju will return to parent club Huddersfield Town as his three-month loan spell at the Fleet comes to an end.

The 22-year-old centre-back played nine times for the Fleet since his arrival at the end of October. He made his debut at Roots Hall against Southend United and provided the assist at Hartlepool for Dominic Samuel’s late equaliser in the north-east.

The Fleet’s No.6 played his last game at Oxford City last weekend

An injury against Kidderminster Harriers curtailed his appearances in a Fleet shirt through December but he returned to full fitness for the win at Maidenhead last week and played his farewell game at Oxford City on Saturday.

The club is pleased to have worked with Huddersfield Town during Mustapha’s loan period and it is no coincidence that the experience he has gained at the Fleet now sees him back at the John Smith’s Stadium to challenge for a place with the Terriers.

We would like to thank Mustapha for his hard work with us and wish him all the very best for the future.
