Fleet goalkeeper Chris Haigh will rejoin Oxford City on a season-long loan ahead of their first National League campaign in 2023/24.
Having picked up a winners’ medal with champions Fleet in April, Haigh of course repeated the feat during an emergency loan period with Ross Jenkins’ side that saw Oxford overcome Worthing and St Albans City to book their place in non-league’s top flight.
Haigh played the second-half of the Fleet’s 6-0 win over Punjab United on Saturday morning. Now the 26-year-old signing from Concord Rangers will play for Oxford City again as they line up alongside the Fleet for the coming season.
There is an emergency recall clause in the terms of the loan agreement and as stated when Haigh signed his new contract in June, the club was seeking mutually beneficial loans for our goalkeepers in 2023/24.
