Ebbsfleet United’s Academy-graduate goalkeeper will embark on his third season as part of the senior squad as Harrison Firth becomes the latest player to seal another campaign at the Kuflink Stadium.
The 19-year-old has developed under the eye of Fleet’s management, goalkeeping coaches and experienced teammates, having first emerged from the club’s academy to make his Kent Senior Cup debut in January 2020.
He trained with the first-team squad under Dennis Kutrieb in the manager’s first season, playing in a number of post-lockdown friendlies and gaining a squad place ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
The ‘keeper earned more senior experience in a loan spell with Punjab United and featured on the bench on numerous occasions for the Fleet in the Vanarama National League South.
Firth picked up a league winners’ medal as the Fleet won the title against Oxford City back in April and he earned his first league appearance in the same month, coming on for Mark Cousins in the final game of the season against Hungerford Town as the side kept a clean sheet to end a victorious campaign on a high.
Now Firth, who turns 20 on the first day of the new season, will look to continue his progress as he once again works alongside Mark Cousins and the coaching team at the club.
