MacDonald eyes the finishing line

Fleet’s long-term injury victim Gary MacDonald could be back in a Fleet shirt in weeks…

After more than five months on the sidelines following an Achilles tendon rupture sustained only 70 minutes into his Fleet debut, defender Gary MacDonald
is now back in full contact training. Fleet physio Paul Wilson has praised the former Woking man for his hard work and fantastic attitude throughout a long and gruelling rehab programme and is confident that MacDonald could be wearing a Fleet shirt again before the end of January.

Other news from the treatment room finds Chris McPhee back in full training this week following his hamstring injury while Peter Hawkins should be back in contention after a groin injury picked up in the Weymouth match sidelined him at Dorchester. Midfielder Danny Slatter begins his rehab programme this week and is reported to have healed very well from his operation.
