Fleet’s U13s academy side won every game en route to the JPL National League title this season.
Manager Kevin Fewell and assistant Danny masterminded the side’s 100% record which included victories over the likes of Aldershot, Dartford, Oxford City, Woking and Basingstoke Town.
This was the first year of the JPL (Junior Premier League), a national division which provides Academy-structured football to help bridge the gap between professional academies and grassroots leagues.
The Fleet plan to increase the number of teams represented in the JPL from next season as we expand our academy with teams from U7 to U16 age groups working towards a scholarship programme.
Having won their league, the Fleet’s U13s now enter national play-offs and go up against JPL league winners from around the country in a knockout competition format, with the overall JPL U13 Champions’ crown up for grabs.
All of us at the club would like to congratulate the U13s on their league triumph and best of luck as they go head to head nationally.
