Sykes Pumps proceed with Fleet deal renewal

Fleet’s commercial work usually happens off the pitch but today we are delighted to announce they’ve done some business on it as Sykes Pumps signed up on the newly grown pitch to extend their partnership with the club.

Sykes Pumps have worked closely with the Fleet for a number of years and general manager Dave Archer is pleased to finalise one more piece of business ahead of the big 2016/17 kick-off. Dave told FleetOnline, “I’m hugely pleased that Sykes Pumps are on board with us again. One of the joys of every close season is extending our relationships with sponsors who really back our club to the hilt and the people at Sykes Pumps, who give real benefit to the football club, are truly in that bracket.”

Many of the Sykes Pumps staff were regular visitors to home and some away matches last season such was their interest in following Daryl McMahon’s side. And the company is a regular feature in our Sponsors Lounge, having backed us as sponsors for several matches last season including the Dartford derby and the Whitehawk play-off semi-final.

Sykes Pumps stated, “We have watched the club’s development with great interest and hope the upcoming campaign will lead to the promotion they were so unlucky to miss out on in May. In addition to the undoubted on-pitch progress, we at Sykes Pumps have been excited to see the first stages of redevelopment at Stonebridge Road. A new £5m main stand is due to be unveiled during the course of the season and marks the first phase of the stadium renovation expected to cost in the region of £8million.

“This improvement reflects the overall regeneration of the surrounding area and is something we at Sykes Pumps have been heavily involved with throughout the past decade – including the enabling works for the Bluewater shopping centre, various Thames corridor remediation projects, and further afield in north Kent. These are therefore exciting times for all associated with the football club and there is great optimism that the team can go one better this time around!”

“As a people-orientated organisation, our members of staff have thoroughly enjoyed sharing company with representatives from Ebbsfleet United – a primary factor in why renewing our commercial deal was of such great importance,” Sykes Pumps sales manager Steve Gray, explained. “We are pleased to be involved at an exciting time for Ebbsfleet United, and hope that we can all work together to achieve our goals as a collective. With the friendships we have made with the staff, players and fans, it was an easy decision to continue our sponsorship and be part of such a forward-thinking football club. Good luck for the coming season and up the Fleet!”
