Fleet travel to Thamesmead Town this evening for their next pre-season friendly, with some players facing their third game in four days on what is likely to be the hottest evening of the year.
As such, Fleet boss Daryl McMahon may choose to rest some of those players who doubled up for the Deal Town and Dartford games at the weekend.
Thamesmead are managed by Fleet’s former Southern Division title-winning skipper Tommy Warrilow and during the close season he has introduced a couple of recognisable faces. Former Phoenix Sports pairing Giannoulis Fakinos and Steve Springett, ex-Fleet players both, could feature for Thamesmead tonight while Luke Coleman is another who visiting fans might recognised. Warrilow’s son Reece is also in the home team’s squad.
Mead, who finished 10th in the Ryman League Divison One North last season, lost their previous friendly 5-0 to Dartford and Warrilow is expecting no let-up for his players against the Fleet tonight.
Kick-off is 7.45pm and admission prices are just £5 for adults with U16s free.
