Daryl McMahon was unsurprisingly disappointed with his side’s showing in today’s defeat at Weston-super-Mare, remarking to Charles Webster, “We were really, really poor. Weston wanted to stay in this league more than we wanted to get out of it today… we haven’t turned up.”
“When you’re winning at home 3-0 anybody can stand up and do well. We didn’t have leaders today. For the first time this season, it’s in [Sutton and Maidstone’s] hands. They’re the favourites now, we’ve got to look ourselves and win our games.
“It shouldn’t matter if we score first. We’ve got enough quality in the team. It can be 0-0 for a long time, so you’ve got to have the nerve to win it.”
