The club announced this morning that Academy manager Daryl McMahon and chief scout Steve Gritt will take charge of the team for the final home match against Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
Following the departure of Jamie Day, it was deemed the most practical decision to let Daryl and Steve take charge of affairs for the last game of 2014/15.
Steve, of course, was assistant manager earlier this season and is still involved with the club in his role as chief scout while Daryl has been in the club during the week taking charge of the Academy side in their 3-0 win over Tonbridge yesterday.
Daryl was also caretaker manager for three games earlier this season, winning two and drawing one of those, and takes up the hotseat alongside Steve Gritt for this last game – with the club hoping to end the season on a relative high after a turbulent 2014/15.
